Prior to a career shift in 2022, I used to make a living as a cook. I graduated culinary school in 2010, however at that point I had been cooking professionally for 4 years.  A successful Programmer has a few things in common with a successful Cook: Our level of attention for details and our level of passion that we have for the job. My passion for programming had not previously been obvious to me. I should have caught on to this, given the way I latched on to understanding technology whenever I got access to any while growing up.  My experience with the TI-83 calculator should have been my clue that I belong in the programming world. I taught myself how to make "choose your own adventure" games by reading the manual from cover to cover, learning the form of BASIC that you could use to program the device.  While earning my AAS, I found myself gravitating towards a student support role. I was able to secure a tutoring position in my schools tutor center. As I have transitioned from school to the work force, I find myself still drawn towards a student support role. I continue to maintain the forum and the number of students keeps growing with every term.
