Hardware and software test automation using Python.

Working for Linux Networx was one of the most enjoyable and challenging positions.Here are some of the tasks I performed: - Worked in-depth with Linux operating system, kernel management, and some system administration. - Helped to create a test team from the ground up to test various HPC software applications, including the creation of test cases, test processes, and set up an online system. - Acted as Product Manager for a product called Clusterworx Advanced while the new product manager was trained. - Given responsibility over the build process of Clusterworx Advanced, where I automated the process, and reduced the time it took to build from as much as 3 days down to 45 minutes. - Presented software development updates and announcements to high profile customers, executive management, and other departments in the company.

Realm Systems was a start-up company that created a hand-held Linux-based server with a finger-print sensor for security access. This was a very fun company to work for, and is where I gained a lot of experience with Linux operating systems, and using bash scripts for automation, Linux Administration, etc.Here are some of the things I did: - Worked daily with Product Management to define a new product in a start-up company. - Troubleshoot Software and hardware issues on multiple platforms, including Debian Linux, UBUNTU, Red Hat, SUSE, Windows XP, and Windows 2000. - Created and implemented hundreds of test cases which were used to ensure a high quality product before shipment of the product to customers. - Created several automated tests that were used frequently to find critical software defects. - Known as the top test engineer for locating and documenting software defects.

Here are some responsibilities and accopmplishments while at eBay. - Worked with Product Management and Product Development to generate information about customer perspective to make decisions about future features. - Worked on a response team called eWatch to take company escalations such as site outages, problems with revenue generating sites on eBay, and other very high profile issues to ensure that they were taken care of in a timely manner. - Acted as designated eBay Motors expert to train and support 1200 employees. - Developed several automated processes used by dozens of eBay employees that increased productivity significantly by reducing performance time to a fraction of what it had formally been. - Was given several leadership positions, such as team lead, main point of contact for specific technical issues, trainer for new employees, and main developer for automated processes.
