Modelling of diesel engine exsaust system from Turbo Outlet to Selective Catalytic Reduction Outlet in order to predict the temperature of exaust gases at various stages in non steady-state system using MATLAB/Simulink and Dynasty (a propritary Caterpillar software based on Python) Using Dassault iSight to optimise and improve the performance of the thermal and chemical model of the exhaust and the SCR and to test EPA compliance under various engine conditions.As part of team to develop Hybrid Earth Movers under the Energy Technology Institute sponsored project, worked on the control logic to determine charge discharge cycles of the Hybrid Excavator using downsized diesel engine with hydraulic and flywheel (KERS) hybrid systems.As part of the same project, modelling of Articulated Truck to calculate increase in efficiency over real customer usage cyclesData analysis of raw field data to identify usage cycles of underground mining trucks and to develope one test cycle to resemble the real world usage patters.
