Founder of nonprofit Latinos 911. Organized two separate projects: assistance for Bahamian residents after Hurricane Dorian and Puerto Rican families after ongoing 6.0 magnitude earthquakes.- First project: Facilitated housing reconstruction for citizens from the Bahama island of Abacos.This consisted of arranging student donation drives for construction materials (~ 800 pallets), collaboration with other non-profits and universities and working directly with the president of Coca-Cola in Puerto Rico to obtain donations.- Second project: First hand assistance to families and refugees not receiving governmental aid after 6.0 magnitude earthquakes in Puerto Rico.This consisted of organizing student volunteers to pack ~ 3,000 donation bags in 8 hours for families who had lost their houses due to the earthquakes, obtaining ~ 74,000 donations delivered in 15 truckloads and generating a social media presence to facilitate donations and volunteer community.
