- Story Capturing: Capture at least two University of Maryland-College Park student/team stories, one university team member story and two nonprofit stories per semester. This is done through multiple mediums such as blog stories, articles, photo journals, interviews and videos. Also responsible for conducting site visits to nonprofit locations at mid-semester with student teams. - Story Distribution: work with Change The World’s Community Engagement Coordinator to distribute material on social media, websites and to outside publications. Work with ChangeTheWorld.org’s web developer to post blogs, articles, photos and videos on Change The World.org. Lastly, responsible for pitching stories to national publications at least three ties over the course of the year with the goal of being in at least one national publication by the end of the school year.

- Assist FSA Outreach staff in identifying State Outreach Coordinators (SOCs) outreach needs. - Acquire broad working knowledge of outreach or communications in which the incumbent serves in the daily operation of the assigned area, dealing with the overall Outreach program and operational support activities that result from administering the programs. - Prepare updated program outreach resources and translate outreach materials. Assist with assessing states' translation and language needs and resources for those identified languages. Identify potential partners and projects for Bridges to Opportunity pilot Initiative. - Identify and create marketing tools to reach FSA program targets (New and Beginning Farmers, Veteran Farmers, Commodity Producers, Organic/Specialty Crop Producers, Socially Disadvantaged and Disabled Farmers and Ranchers). - Participate with staff in reviewing data on program participation in states and designing outreach methods to improve state deficiencies. Lastly, assisting Director with reports, memos, meeting coordination and accompanying Director to internal and external USDA meetings.

- Was responsible for managing and overseeing all hospitality functions for the housing piece of the conference program, alongside five other Hospitality Supervisors. Duties included: delivering group related materials, key and desk management, on site check-in and out management, audits, etc.- Served as team leader for a group of 10-15 employees and directed team in meetings and challenges.

Project Leader- Student Consultant for Broad Acres Elementary School - Supported and spoke on behalf of children and youth in the community, and before governmental agencies and other organizations that make decisions affecting children. Assisted parents in developing the skills they need to raise and protect their children. Encouraged parent and public involvement in public schools. - Consulted the Parent Teacher’s Association (PTA) at Broad Acres Elementary School (a Title 1 school whose student body is 75% Latino) in exploring potential micro-enterprises and developing strategies for wealth creation in the local community. - Deliverables were revised by our Deloitte mentor who was available to us through Change The World’s partnership with Deloitte. Career Day Task Force Committee Member- Assisted in organizing a one-day Career Day at the University of Maryland for the 4th and 5th graders of Broad Acres Elementary School (approximately 200 students). - Helped plan the day’s sessions, prepared take-aways, and structured the day’s transitions.

- Was responsible for all marketing material for the 3rd Annual Taking it Back to Our ROOTs Youth Symposium which took place in Baltimore, Maryland. Goal was to have at least 500 6-12th grade Baltimore City and County students attend the day long event of personal and professional development workshops, one of which I facilitated.- Over 1100 students, teachers and community leaders attended the event. - Co-taught a science class of approximately 40 fifth grade students at Bay Brook Primary Academy (twice a week).
