I'm a film director, art director, SFX make-up artist and the creator of POE, an anthology series that explores mental health issues creatively rather than scientifically. At 18, straight out of high school, I wrote and directed my first film 'Psychological Lover'; a metaphorical portrayal of self-harm with the aim of understanding the misunderstood. It won the Audience Choice Award at the Lift-Off First-Time-Filmmaker Showcase which is run by Pinewood Studios (home to many successful films, e.g. No Time To Die, Venom: Let There Be Carnage, Eternals, The Gentlemen etc.) At 19, I wrote and directed 'Wrangle', the next film part of the Mental Health Anthology Series, that focuses on OCD; a member of the audience told us "I literally have never seen a better representation of OCD in a film project before". Wrangle won Best Educational Film and I won Best Female Director at Cannes World Film Festival.The production of my third film 'Butcher', a docu-film on depression, has just finished and it is being premiered on Saturday 18th September. Filmmaking has always been an important part of my life and my passion for making visions come to life and the creative arts shines through my work.
