Since January 2014 I have been leading the Dynamics AX practice at Mazik Global in its Karachi office. I am responsible for managing multiple Dynamics AX Customization and Implementation projects at the same time. Job functions include Service Delivery, Project Coordination, Program Management, Product Planning, Hiring, Training and Team Building.Prior to that I was leading the Dynamics Core division that was serving Tyler Technologies in working on a Dynamics AX Research and Development project with Microsoft. Job functions included Project Coordination, Hiring, Training and Team Building.

As an APM I served in two divisions, the second one being Dynamics Core. I joined the Core team in August 2008 and continued as an APM there until June 2011.

I continued to work in the TEMS division as a Senior Software Engineer. During this time I designed and developed an Adhoc Reporting solution. The solution would allow a System Administrator to create a data source based on a view in the database, join existing data sources and design reports based on the joined data sources. The idea was to empower the System Administrator to create simple reports on his own instead of requesting the same to the implementation partner. Technologies used were C#, DevExpress Controls and Microsoft SQL Server.Later I was selected as a founding member of a new division, Odyssey. I started providing development services on a Courts and Justice solution with a couple other engineers. We started with small projects and gradually hired more engineers until we were 10. During this time I worked on several new and existing features of the product. Technologies used were VB6, VBScript, COM, C# and Microsoft SQL Server.

I joined Mazik Global as a Software Engineer in its Education Management Solution division. During this time I worked on Form Builder within the Goals module. The Form Builder was designed to allow an application user design a form by selecting one or more controls from a predefined toolbox using the drag and drop functionality. Each of the controls on the form could also be bound to a data source. The user experience of Form Builder was just like a developer working on Visual Studio .NET. Once a form is designed and bound with data sources, it would appear as a Web Form with data to the end user. Technologies used were Win Forms, Web Forms, ASP.NET using VB.NET and Microsoft SQL Server.

During my tenure at Arwen Tech I worked on IVR, Call Center Agent, Call Center Wallboard and Payroll solutions. The technologies used were C#, VB.NET, VC++, VB6, XML, XQuery and SQL Server 2005.Alongside software engineering I got an opportunity to represent Arwen Tech at the annual Expo Pakistan exhibition. We also provided technical support services for personnel screening at a musical concert.

At THK Solutions I worked on solutions including Access Control, Online Application Processing and Core Banking. My first project was with British Petroleum Pakistan for which we designed and developed an Access Control system for their Karachi site. Another project was with United Bank Limited where we designed and developed an ASP.net based application providing online Application entry and validation services for UBL CashLine. I also got an opportunity to closely work with UBL development team for systems integration and with the end users for UAT.

Cera-e-Noor, a division of Hashwani Hotels (Hashoo Group), is Pakistan’s exclusive premier Porcelain Tableware manufacturing facility. I started the internship there in summer 2003 at the end of 6th semester. Although it was a 2 month internship, the management encouraged me to continue as a part time employee alongside the studies. So I continued working until I felt I needed to focus 100% to prepare for my final exams towards the end of 8th semester.I (and my team) was tasked with writing a proposal for a Management Information System that would capture data from each phase of Procurement, Inventory, Manufacturing and Sales for an increased insight into the low level details, higher visibility and informed decision making. While working on that proposal, I got an opportunity to interview the end users to gather the initial requirements. After careful analysis and validation of the requirements we proposed a MIS with four modules i.e. Procurement, Inventory, Manufacturing and HR. Following the approval we started working on the development of Procurement module. Due to the shortage of time, we're only able to deliver the Procurement module.
