Conservation and commercialization of indigenous fruit germplasm.Multi-environment evaluation of different indigenous and exotic cultivars of date palm (Phoenix dactylifera), mango (Mangifera indica L.), citrus (Citrus spp.), guava (Psidium guajava L.) and ber (Zizyphus jujuba L.). Standardization of different pollination techniques on the fruit setting, growth and quality of different date Palm (Phoenix dactylifera) cultivars. Developing propagating technology of improved cultivars of date palm (Phoenix dactylifera), mango (Mangifera indica L.), guava (Psidium guajava L.), ber (Zizyphus jujuba Lam.), falsa (Grewia asiatica), jojoba (Simmondsia chinensis) under arid conditions.Cultivation and production of different cultivars of roses through modern propagation techniques, use of plant growth regulators and different growing media. Graftage and budding of hybrid cultivars of rose (Rosa spp.) bud wood on local rootstocks.Rapid multiplication of chrysanthemum (Dendranthema morifolium) through in vitro tissue culture using different explants under various growth media and hormones.Testing the direct, residual and cumulative effects of variable rates of micro-nutrients application on wheat yield under rice- wheat system. Preparation of annual, monthly and quarterly work progress reports. Extensive field data collection and statistical analysis. Making/conducting multimedia lectures on various research activities performed. Dissemination of information to the area growers about improved production technology of fruits and vegetables through conducting field days, radio talks and advisory services. Writing of booklets/brochures (in English & Urdu) on various production aspects of fruits, vegetables and ornamental plants.
