Course Name: Physical Hydrology (Undergraduate)Student Enrolled: 104Course Overview and Objectives:This course is developed to provide a basic idea of hydrologic science. The course emphasis is placed on the occurrence, movement, and behavior of water from an earth science perspective. The general objectives are for students to become able to (including but not limited to):• Understand the essential components and function of the hydrologic cycle, including precipitation,evaporation/evapotranspiration, overland flow and surface storage, and channel flow and stormwater runoff.• Compute the hydrologic mass balance in a catchment.• Develop unit hydrographs based on streamflow data and conduct basic unit hydrograph analysis.• Perform hydrological data analysis.• Understand the basic concepts of hydrologic simulation modeling to evaluate the potential impacts of management decisions.• Current hydrological issues are assessed broadly in this course.

Project: Development of Water Quality Model using simulation-optimization approchClient: Ministry of Environment, Conservation and Parks, Ontario- Conceptualize, Design, and Develop end-to-end advanced analytics-based solutions to meet regulatory requirements.- Understand the Business problems and find appropriate data science-based solutions and develop the software around the solution in order to enable user to use the solution. This includes, create PoC, develop and train models and create pipeline to put models into production environment for future prediction.- Analyse massive data set (2TB) to harvest meaningful trends and forecast (ARIMA) across multiple locations in North America. This helped clients to make broader policy scope based on geo-spatial data. - Developed deep learning model (KNN & MICE based) from existing ML model which decreases 20% processing time with better accuracy. Implementing MICE during data cleaning provided 95% accuracy.- Review different classification and multi-variate outlier detection methods and test and try them to find suitable solutions- K-means, CART, DBSCAN, etc. - Architect and develop an end-to-end data pipeline in order to productionize advanced analytics-based solutions.- Used MySQL queries for data extraction, matching, and joining with other database.- Supervised a data analytics team of 5 members and maintained an iterative-lifecycle framework using an agile project management tool.

My division collaborated with six different organizations including the provincial government, consulting firm and research firm to create an advanced analytics-based solution to strengthen monitoring capabilities. - Used predictive analytics techniques (PCA, K-means clustering, and regression analysis) for future hydropower production and cost-demand analysis.- Design and develop end-to-end machine learning solution to match client profiles between multiple systems. Gathered Requirement from business, created PoC, build the data pipeline after data pre-processing. Worked in feature engineering, feature selection, model selection and building.- Review research papers and associated new developments and assess best possible potential solutions possible.- Used numpy and pandas from python for time series analysis. Also used Matplotlib for plotting.- Successfully managed a $ 1.2 million project in collaboration with Hydro-Quebec.- Lead and guide the team to have proper engagement with stakeholders and open meaningful discussion to explore the new opportunities for the team. Worked in a World Bank funded Project Entitled " The Capacity Building for Industrial Pollution Management (CBIPM) project" under MoEF Govt. of India.1. Environmental Impact Assessment and Remediation of Dhapa Municipal Dump site. The Dhapa Municipal Solid Waste Landfill is the solely official site for disposal municipal waste in Kolkata,India. The site receives around from 3,500 to 3,700 tonnes of waste daily or 1,310,000 tonnes annually. Assessment of contamination and making the remediation plan is the objective of the project. 2. Inventorization of Hazardous Waste Dumpsites in India. This project objective is make a structured processes for Identification and Assessment of Contamination Site. Depend upon the assessment of contaminated/probably contaminated site a inventory will made for India.
