Embarking on a new stage in my career as a Design Lead, my primary focus was on stabilizing and streamlining the design function within the Engineering Team.- Leading design projects (D74A, D92A, D55L, D66B) for a local Tier 1 automotive supplier, specializing in Welding Jigs and Stamping Dies. -Overseeing projects from the initial design stage to the assembly stage.-Leading a dedicated team in driving continuous improvement initiatives in the design process, integrating Lean and Agile methodologies to enhance efficiency and optimize project outcomes.-Spearheading company branding initiatives alongside cross-functional teams to enhance Seiko Precision's brand presence. Driven by a deep-rooted aspiration to become a product designer, I embarked on an exciting journey without any formal education in Industrial Design or CAD. Through working on challenging projects, I acquired proficiency in CAD software like CATIA and AutoCAD. This hands-on experience allowed me to excel in tool design, particularly in welding jig and fixture creation. Furthermore, my exposure to CAM (computer-aided manufacturing) enabled me to program machining processes, equipping me with valuable knowledge to consider Design for Manufacturing (DFM) principles.As an Industrial Engineer by academic training, I leveraged my expertise to drive process improvement initiatives. By implementing visual management techniques such as KANBAN, I effectively eliminated waste and enhanced operational efficiency. My passion for data visualization led me to develop a Project Tracking Dashboard, utilizing tools like Excel, Power Query, and Power BI to facilitate real-time visibility into project progress and enable effective communication. Additionally, leveraging my self-learned UI/UX knowledge, I created record forms and conducted backend data analysis to ensure compliance with ISO and IATF standards.With an unwavering belief that function takes precedence in product design, I combine my diverse skill set and knowledge gained through challenging projects to deliver innovative and practical solutions.
