I am very interested in the development of open source software and hardware used in Cognitive Psychology and Neuroscience research. While I currently do accept some contracts for application design and implementation, I try to contribute as much time as I can toward OSS and not for profit projects. Much of my experience comes from running many aspects of one of the world's leading research eye tracking companies, SR Research Ltd, makers of the EyeLink line of high speed eye tracking systems. In 2000, I worked with Eyal Reingold and Dave Stampe to release the EyeLink II system that year, to the role of Director of Product Development and operations Management from around January 2003 until I resigned in January 2012.My background has focused on combining my strong skills and knowledge in Computer Programming and Design with the discipline and techniques taught from Experimental Psychology. Combined with my years of hands on experience with project management and task prioritization, has provided the unique ability to understand and manage a team toward the larger goals of a project or company vision while at the same time participating in the actual implementation and problem solving required in the lower level software and product development.
