About Sol Alavi
I am global entrepreneur, with a passion for innovation and a sincere dedication to improve the lives of everybody every where (as best as I can). In 2009, I founded CellTrack, a technology company that offered a feature-phone based solution which used BTS cell-towers to identify user location. The core technology was licensed from FollowUs Ltd., the UK pioneers in LBS at the time. CellTrack subsequently acquired FollowUs, and went on to become the world's larget managed LBS provider, with our solution available to several tens of millions telco subscribers. With the advent of smart-phones, I pivoted and started work (in stealth mode) on my new project, called Geomain. This has today evolved to become a mobile App that allows users to register their unique one-word address identifier, that points dynamically to a GPS coordinate of choice, (making it their Digital Address & ID For Life). Geomain is now the core of an entire Digital Ecosystem we have designed and built over the years, to ensure that anyone with a smart-phone can truly participate in the digital economy.

Soon after the tragic German Wings Flight 9525 crash in the Alps in March 2015, I founded FlySecure - a for-profit organisation that advises, monitors and rates commercial aviation on flight safety and security practices. It is the first such organisation of its kind in the world.With pilot suicide tragically seeming to be a growing "trend", we have turned to technology to eliminate this problem. We are proud to be in the process of developing a (patent-pending) technology solution that would ensure that another tragedy like German Wings Flight #9525 never happens again.
