Stephanie Sola-Solé is the principal of Sola-Solé Architects in Bethesda, MD. Stephanie earned her BA in Architecture from Catholic University of America in Washington DC. She was fortunate to spend a summer abroad, in Italy, Spain and France studying architecture, learning from both history and contemporary greats. She began her career working in commercial office design for local DC firms, molding her love for contemporary design. She continued with commercial design while slowly leaning towards residential design, consulting with local residential architects specializing in traditional high-end custom homes. This dichotomy has shaped her design sensibilities appreciating both well-designed and detailed traditional homes as well as clean-lined modern design, capable of switching hats depending on the client’s needs. In 1999 she formed Sola-Sole Architects and has been continuing with both residential and small commercial design ever since. She is a licensed Architect.Stephanie believes that each project is unique and her approach to design is a culmination of her extensive design experience and the dreams of her clients.

I currently serve on the committee for the HHMM Women Build Event. The annual Women Build event provides the opportunity for women to take a proactive step in serving their communities.Women Build is a spring event. No experience is necessary. Volunteers commit to one build day with a team and work under the guidance of construction professionals, and also alongside other volunteers and future Habitat homeowners. Whether you are learning new skills or simply adding a few to your tool belt, this is a rewarding experience for all involved, and improves the community that you share.Women Build is also a terrific way to involve your friends and family of all ages in crucial work with a lasting impact.
