I have dedicated myself to studying oncology for 12 years throughout my career as a Medical Technologist and Ph.D. in Biomedical Sciences. I also have six years of hard-working experience as a Project manager related to oncogenomics and personalized medicine. I have Authored applications for grants, congresses, and manuscripts. For the last three years, I have been the project manager of my Postdoctoral grant for 111000,00 USD, which also involves financial and operational project reports. This study aims to broaden the prescription of approved target drugs for novel actionable variants from South America, centered around cancer genomics and data analysis, which involves finding the best therapy option for each patient.This year, my work as MSL has been centered on constant scientific exchange with physicians and stakeholders, focused on relevant clinical studies, and advising and providing scientific support to the company..

Exciting news! I'm currently working on a project to broaden the prescription of target drugs for Latin American variants found in lung cancer samples. My focus is on identifying relevant predicted driver variants with predicted drug prescriptions. To achieve this, I validate novel variants in non-tumor and lung cancer cell lines, followed by in vivo approaches using already approved target drugs. Stay tuned for updates on this important work!

I have adjudicated a Postdoctoral National award to investigate novel MET gene mutations found in non-small cell lung cancer (NSCLC) from Chile, Brazil, and Peru patients. In Latin America, if NSCLC does not present canonical driver mutations in genes such as EGFR or ALK, the patients can not be benefited from other targeted therapies. So, we believe that validating Latin predicted driver mutations and their actionability opens the opportunity to identify relevant mutations in the patient's diagnosis and expand the use of target therapies in Latin America.
