The University of Beira Interior (UBI) has promoted the Fashion Revolution UBI event for some years now.As the Fashion Industry is considered to be one of those that produces the greatest social and environmental impact, the objective of the event is to bring together professors, students, companies, professionals and the community to discuss conscious consumption and sustainable development. In addition, achieve more transparency in the fashion industry's production chain. Therefore, to fit the theme with the current and common practices, the event program presents several sustainable and collaborative projects, from a raw material to the final product. The invited works range from projects developed by students at UBI, to major international fashion chains.In previous years, UBI developed this activity as part of Fashion Revolution, an organization with an interest that has the mission of sensitizing all the organs of the fashion system (from the public, designers, brands, retailers, distributors, factory owners, arts and legislators, among others) to contribute to a fashion system that is protected for example with local promotions. In addition, the goal is to protect the dignity of workers, such as their arts and crafts, and the various ecosystems that suffer catastrophicly at the hands of this fashion industry, which is the second most polluting in the world.This organization, already headquartered in more than 90 countries worldwide, celebrated the fashion it really should be on April 24 of each year - the day the Rana Plaza complex collapsed in Bangladesh in 2013, killing 1138 people - with more varied events from street actions, interviews, documentaries, videos, music, fairs and parades.https://www.facebook.com/ubifashionrevolution/

Currently reviewing scientific articles at Review Journal of cleaner production. During the PhD Thesis period five chapters were written in a scopus indexed scientific journal and one chapter in a scopus indexed book.
