I have been interested in real estate for a long time. It started when I was Right of Way agent for the DOT, my responsibility was to evaluate property and appraise property for acquisition. I enjoyed valuing property and decided to pursue the professional designations, and became MAI member and SRA (Senior Residential Appraiser).I started developing sub divisions in the early 1990's and then I decided to own property for rental which led me to buy warehouses. I found the gem known as Decatur Self Storage in 1997. It was an 1947 original building that was not very useful from first appearances. I then converted the warehouse to self storage units over a period of 2 years. To date Decatur Self Storage is the only solar powered storage facility in Georgia. I also own other properties and continue to be an active appraiser and property speculator.
