Provided holistic nursing care to patients in the Intensive Care Unit, treating a wide array of disease processes. Served as Administrative Specialist for the Division of Incentivesand Development. Duties included coordinating the different programs ofthe division: Kentucky Thoroughbred Development Fund, KYStandardbred Development Fund, KY Quarter Horse, Arabian andAppaloosa Development Fund, and KY Horse Breeder’s Incentive Fund,which includes 13 non‐race breeds and their respective breedassociations. Worked with Kentucky racetracks and Horse ID duringlive race meets, as well as with customers to aid the licensingdivision during their busy times. Served as translator when needed. Attendedand assisted Director in meetings related to any of the aforementionedprograms, being responsible for typing minutes of meetings andreporting back to Executive Director when Director is absent. Otherduties included filing, answering telephone and typing correspondence, aswell as assisting Division Director whenever needed.

From May 2007 to December 2009 responsibilities included maintenanceand management of 5 barns, more than 120 horses including lay‐upsfrom the racetrack, and between 20 and 30 employees. Made sure thateach and every horse be in the best shape, health and condition possiblefor sale. Dealt with minute personnel issues, payroll time sheets andoverall safety of horses and employees. Assisted broodmare divisionwith foaling during breeding season. On call 24/7.From June 2005 to May 2007 served as barn manager in main yearlingbarn. Duties included raising and prepping yearlings, mares, and foals forsale. Managed day‐to‐day operations of the barn including veterinaryvisits, employees, feed and other supplies. Managed care for manymillions of dollars worth of Thoroughbred horses.Executive Assistant to Farm ManagerDuring weekends, would work with active mare and foal database.Schedule mares for breeding with Lane’s End and outside farm stallions.Enter veterinary information into teasing book for review by farmmanager. Check numerous equine veterinary clinics for updates onhorses that are having procedures done. Schedule horses to go to equineveterinary clinic when procedures are needed. Keep constant contactwith numerous clients, farm manager and farm owner, updating themthroughout the day.

Took care of overall well being of each of the forty horses available in thestable. Coordinated riding classes for people ages 4‐60. Instructedclasses for majority of mornings for kids, ages 4‐16. Responsible forscheduling vet and feed for horses. Responsible for A/R as well as A/Pand all other administrative duties needed by the owner.
