Create content and student spotlight campaigns for the UC Irvine Graduate Division Social Media platforms: Facebook, Instagram, LinkedIn, Twitter, and YouTube. Manage work-flows and logistics with the communications team to implement content. Analyze and monitor social and data engagement and performance amongst the platforms.Develop marketing campaigns for the Graduate Division and departments across campus.

Built mentorships with 10 undergraduate students who have earned various awards through the Undergraduate Research Opportunity Program (UROP) at UCI for their work. The students who earned UROP awards have presented their work at multiple UCI UROP Conferences.

My area of research examines human sensitivities to different musical and speech qualities, such as tonality and prosody, through psychophysical and behavioral techniques. My first two years at UCI involved gaining experience in statistical analyses, modeling, and coding through Matlab and Praat, so I am confident in creating my own stimuli and experiments, collecting data, and analyzing it through these programs. Created and taught Psychology Fundamentals 9B. This class was a 5-week summer intensive course for incoming and first year Cognitive Science and Psychology undergraduate students to get ahead in their degrees.

Awarded a T32 NIH-NRSA Predoctoral Training Fellowship by the Center for Hearing Research at the University of California, Irvine.

Supported and worked with students at the University of Nevada, Reno, undergraduate and graduate, in any stage of the writing process to become confident writers. Mainly worked with students in STEM majors.

As an undergraduate researcher, I learned how to work cohesively in a research setting under the supervision of Dr. Michael A. Webster and his graduate students. My first year in the lab allowed me to develop basic skills in experimental design and data collection and analysis. The following year, I was able to apply the skills I had learned by designing my own project called “Ensemble coding within and across musical instruments,” which ultimately became my undergraduate Honors Thesis.

By collecting and recording semantic and phonemic fluency data, I investigated the relationship between brain trauma and cognitive functioning in professional boxers and mixed martial artists in collaboration with Dr. Charles Bernick and Dr. Sarah Banks. The fluency tests had partial correlations within the fighters’ brain structure volumes, and ultimately revealed a relationship between semantic knowledge fluency and hippocampal volumes after repetitive traumatic brain injuries.
