Bingle Maps is a full featured Google Maps application for Windows Phone 7 developed by myself. I became one of the major developers soon after joining the team, which builds one of the largest Silverlight CMS application suite - Byldr (www.byldr.com). This is also one of the largest under going Silverlight projects in Australia. Applications in the Byldr suite are built with Silverlight front end feeding data from proprietary service backend and NoSQL data warehouse. A lot of the latest and innovative MVVM best practices (such as view model first architecture) are being implemented in the Byldr suite. A lot of these practices are of consultancy level, which really made the best out of the Silverlight platform and gave the Byldr products a lot competitive edges in the industry.

Windows Phone 7 Application:This is a Windows Phone 7 project. It involves intensive knowledge on the Silverlight platform for Windows Phone 7 and the MVVM Light framework. A lot of challenges in this project came from the performance area, where the application needs to be graphically attractive and intuitive, with fast responsiveness and low resource usage at the same time on a mobile device. The application relies on SOAP services, communicates in JSON using JSON.NET. I have some articles posted on my blog (http://codifying.wordpress.com/category/windows-phone-7/) about what I have learnt from this Windows Phone 7 project.Entertainment Mobile Site:This large scale music mobile site is one of the largest entertainment mobile site in Australia. I was appointed to take over full responsibilities of maintaining and enhancing this site. The biggest challenge of this job is to maintain the huge existing code base which spreads across more than 150 ASP.NET pages and controls, with some of them dated from 4 years ago. Many of these pages and controls have sophisticated mechanism to adjust layouts and element sizes to work on all supported mobile devices.

Our team has over delivered 136% on the project goal for the first phase. The newly built system is delivering up to 4 times efficiency for producers and editors over the old system when working in its corresponding area. User satisfaction is very positive since its initial rollout.

A 6-month contract to research and develop a high intelligent application that utilising data mining and text mining. Technology and software involved in this project include .NET languages and frameworks, data structure optimisation, and RapidMiner data mining application.
