Senior Researcher (Ramón y Cajal Fellow) working in the Nanobiosensors and Bioanalytical Applications group (NanoB2A) at the Catalan Institute of Nanoscience and Nanotechnology (ICN2). I obtained the PhD in Biochemistry, Molecular Biology and Biomedicine in 2015 by the Autonomous University of Barcelona (UAB), receiving distinguished honors and awards. After graduation, I moved to the Ecole Polytechnique Federale de Lausanne (EPFL, Switzerland) as a postdoctoral researcher in the Bionanophotonic Systems laboratory for 3 years. My multidisciplinary background includes optical biosensor development, nanoplasmonics, surface chemistry, bioanalytics, and molecular and cell biology. My main focus now is the development of novel nanophotonic sensing platforms and their application in complex biomedical studies, like immunology, cell analysis, and personalized therapies.
