• Spearheaded quantitative and qualitative research for the One Smithsonian Plastic Reduction Initiative (O.S.P.R.I.) to phase out single-use water bottles and implement alternative revenue strategies to set the standard for wildlife preservation.

• Designed comprehensive waste management system master plan to set the Green Standard of integrative waste management for zoological parks nation-wide and promote the Smithsonian National Zoo’s sustainability initiatives.• Implemented high-volume compost technology and developed alternative revenue stream through the sale of compost to divert 90% of waste and generate over $85,000 in annual savings; created educational outreach content.

• Led a community outreach team of 15 students to execute a three-day tactical urbanism pop-up park by securing grants, outside funding, vendors, artists, musicians, local municipalities, and nonprofit organizations to set precedent for potential renovation of the underutilized Eddy Gate area. • Created, administered and analyzed survey data on user experience and presented findings to the Campus Planning Office as a part of stakeholder outreach to empower democratic placemaking.
