I am a passionate community-minded woman with 25 years experience in the finance sector, community development and engagement, corporate and clinical governance and now individual psychological therapy and mental health.My career transition led me to the mental health and consulting field as the owner and director of Maitri Wellbeing, working with the public and private sector and individual clients.Maitri Wellbeing focuses on long-term therapy, psychological growth and education of individuals and groups using various evidence-informed practice and modalities.I hold qualifications as a Mental Health Practitioner and Psychotherapist and I am an accredited mediator.I work with people to create long-term understanding of their mental health capacity to recover from trauma, adverse experiences and life challenges. I have a strong focus on relationship therapy and use various lenses in therapy.It's my privilege to help create positive mental health outcomes for people while strengthening human relationships that can be sustained through quality of connection.I am an advocate for people in our mental health system that need information or support to recover from trauma, mental health crisis or suicide and hold strong values that promotes gender equality, supporting efforts to reduce family violence in our community. I firmly believe we can build better humanistic environments for people to grow and thrive within therapeutic professional practice.Outside my profession I am a very engaged Mum, I love to travel, I love good food and getting out into the wilderness with my family. I want to leave a better world for our children through a commitment to environmental sustainability and connection to the great outdoors. You will find me contributing to my community through various board representation, on the sidelines at kids' weekend soccer, or out hiking beautiful mountains.
