I am an aspiring MD and current Master's candidate in Molecular Science at Toronto Metropolitan University, formerly known as Ryerson University. With a background in Biomedical Science, I am deeply committed to integrating data science and innovative technologies to expand healthcare access for marginalized communities. This commitment guided me to PinkDetect, an emerging startup focused on offering affordable, accessible, and culturally sensitive breast health education to women of color through an AI-enabled app. Here, I've had the privilege to lead in the development of the app's UI/UX, implement machine-learning algorithms for risk assessment, and conduct vital community outreach.My academic and professional journey has also provided me the opportunity to work with renowned organizations such as Southlake Hospital, where I honed my skills in clinical coordination and patient record management. Additionally, as a Teaching Assistant at Toronto Metropolitan University, I’ve refined my abilities in research, statistical analysis, educational leadership and student engagement.As I move forward, my ultimate goal is to earn my MD, where I envision a practice that seamlessly integrates technological advancements like AI with medical expertise to create more equitable healthcare systems.
