Quantum Prep is a group of teachers that provides private, one-on-one, and small group lessons to high school and college students in chemistry, physics, mathematics, and standardized test preparation. We focus on creating the best opportunity for success for each of our students by focusing on "The Whole Student," rather than on a particular assignment or grade. As a group, all teachers strive to create the best possible pedagogical techniques and skills of one another, and incorporate what we develop into our classrooms. We demand that a student becomes an individual that is a life-long student, self-sustaining and driven, and proficient in the skills needed to succeed in any academic setting. Each student receives personalized, customized, and dedicated instruction, using the pedagogical techniques that are crafted by our group of dedicated teachers to fit a student's individual needs.

Currently investigating the physics of damped stochastic processes when a constant perturbation, such as a small driving force, is applied to a system, and the mass of a tagged particle altered compared to the solvent particles around it. Utilized protein folding used as a model process. Molecular dynamics, using industry standard packages, and numerical simulations are performed to investigate the effect on the trajectory in phase space of the tagged particle in both an unbiased and a driven system. Original FORTRAN 90 programs and Perl script are written to process experimental data and calculate numerical solutions to fundamental analytical equations, such as the Diffusion Equation and velocity autocorrelation functions. Publications will be submitted to journals in Fall 2011.

Teacher of record at Chelsea High School, an inner city high school with a high minority population. Teach five classes per academic year, including the Advanced Placement Chemistry program, honors chemistry, and general chemistry for special education students. Developed original lesson plans, laboratory program, homework assignments, and assessments to meet the needs of the student population. Provided after school tutoring and extra help remediation for both assigned students as well as for any student in the school. Developed and ran a successful college level laboratory program for the Advanced Placement program. Responsible for the development of all chemistry curriculum, including department quarterly assessments and scope and sequence pursuant to the MA Curriculum Frameworks and the Collegeboard AP Chemistry syllabus. Additionally, constantly active with the student body, acting as the vocal coach for the school musical, class advisor, chaperone for prom, senior class events, and a volunteer advisor for both the Avery Ashdown Chemistry competition.

Worked under post-doctoral candidates within a graduate laboratory in the Department of Chemistry. Conducted literature reviews, wrote original programs using FORTRAN, assisted with a variety of computational procedures. Reviewed results for veracity, and submitted data and conclusions to principle investigator.
