The Finance Early Careers Program is a 2-year rotational program designed to provide young finance professionals with the opportunity to experience various aspects of financial operations at Wells Fargo. For the first rotation, I work within Corporate Finance for the Expense Allocation and Analysis team. This team is responsible for allocating expenses across corporate functions and lines of business on the monthly, quarterly, and yearly bases, utilizing database software to analyze historical data to generate budgets and forecasts.

Tutor and mentor students seeking assistance in subjects that I have experience with, including Econ, Business Statistics, Accounting, Algebra, and more. Initially signed on as an MIS (Management and Information Systems) tutor, I pick up shifts in these other subjects, host private tutoring sessions, and review content from other classes in order to expand my tutoring capabilities. I enjoy helping other students when I can using my natural social and intellectual abilities, so THINK Tank has provided me an opportunity to do this as a paid employee.

TAMID is a nationwide club that explores Israeli business and startups in Tel Aviv, dubbed the "startup capital of the world." TAMID has a Fund track and a consulting track. The fund track looks at Israeli stocks, discusses the climate of the stock market, and makes stock pitches that compete with other TAMID chapters across the country, including universities such as Harvard, Stanford, Yale, Dartmouth, and many more (in the first year of our chapter, we won both of the stock pitches that we competed in). The consulting track connects students at the U of A with startups in Israel. This provides students with free consulting experience with real companies while providing these startups with pro-bono consulting.

Worked within the Financial Planning & Analysis team under Banking, Lending, and Trust within Wealth and Investment Management.Learned extensively how to navigating Essbase, the database used by Wells Fargo. With this, my team and I conducted a project to clear dormant/unused Accounting Units from the system, cleaning up the database.Engaged in volunteer opportunities, speaker series calls, and location-based events to meet tenured Wells Fargo employees, discussing their path and applying their sentiments to plan for my future.Gained an in-depth look into the operations of a large financial institution, bolstering my knowledge of the daily requirements and responsibilities for this multi-billion dollar company.

Working in the Development and Alumni Relations Team of the Eller College of Management, I learned from some of the greatest minds in the development business. As an intern, I worked directly under Phoebe Chalk-Wadsworth, a staple around the University of Arizona community. After taking her class, “Fundraising and PR in College Athletics,” I learned the sports side of fundraising. Then, from working under her, I learned the business side of fundraising from absorbing the material around me and working alumni events.Additionally, another responsibility I had included writing monthly newsletters to the Eller Community. However, the newsletters had to sound like they were in Phoebe’s voice, so I learned her writing and speaking style to create these newsletters. All in all, this experience taught me written communication (newsletters), social communication (alumni events), and the process of creating, planning, setting up, running, and concluding an event on campus.
