After a twelve-year battle with addiction and substance abuse -- including a vicious cycle of recovery-rehabs-sober livings- 12-step programs-relapse--and then back all over again- she is now living a normal, happy &functioning life. Due to popular demand the 3rd final ed. is coming soon as well as the start up of a much needed online community bringing together experts in ALL modalities of healing. A full-time writer and lecturer, Ms. Solomon has taught at the Huntington Beach School District’s Drug and Alcohol Program and has spoken at The Learning Annex in California. She graduated from the University of Michigan, with a B.A. in psychology with honors. While making Phi Beta Kappa, she also volunteered at a nearby Women’s Center, counseling and placing abused and, or chemically addicted women into safe facilities.For the past five years, in addition to being a full-time writer and speaker, Melanie has been providing personal coaching for those with alcohol and drug problems.
