About Solomon Yemi Oladimeji

I am a Public Health Enthusiast with about Six (6) years of work experience, I am also a team player who is reliable and purposeful with problem-solving skills and places high regard on productive relationships with colleagues, superiors, and subordinates. I am quality-driven and goal-oriented, with no regard for compromise, tirelessly seeking new ways to add value in every capacity I function. My goal is to build a meaningful career in the Humanitarian and Development Sector by working with innovative Non-Governmental Organizations where Public Health, Environmental sustainability, and Human Development are priorities, contributing as much as I can to the field and improving my knowledge along the way. Some of my achievements over the years include;· Contributing intellectually towards the rollout, execution and utilization of Heat-Stable Carbetocin (HSC) in 26 health facilities in Niger State including advocating for sustained state procurement of HSC and Other Uterotonics to improve the availability of quality Uterotonics. This is geared towards the Prevention of Postpartum Hemorrhage (PPH) which is currently responsible for about 22% of Maternal deaths in Nigeria. · Implementation of innovative strategies to strengthen the effectiveness and quality of Malaria service provision using the Community Participation Model towards Malaria Elimination and Eradication. This also involves researching to better understand current and emerging issues in Malaria and other Vaccine-preventable diseases. · Supporting the Niger State Command of the Nigerian Correctional Service Medical Unit with direct technical assistance and capacity building to tackle challenges that inmates often face due to the unavailability of ART services at the Correctional clinics, this led to the innovation of administering ARV as DOT for Correctional Inmates living with HIV/AIDs as this does not only also improve client and provider relationship between the Correctional Inmates living with HIV and their care providers but also ensured an achievement of about 98% clients viral suppression.· Contributing actively towards the actualization of Adolescents' and Youths' Sexual Reproductive Health Rights by engaging policymakers to provide reasonable guidelines to improve young people’s access to SRH services including collaboration with networks of the non-clinical private sector (pharmacies and PPMV) to expand access to AYSRH information and services with Youths' as target audience as well as Support social mobilization & demand generation activities for AYSRH.
