I developed a data flow for ICES' new advisory series, the Aquaculture Overviews (AOs). The objective was to document the use of and facilitate the access to data, in accordance with the FAIR data principles and ICES data policy. Obtaining a product that would satisfy both current and future needs was a key goal.My work involved extensive communication across the organisation and within the ICES Aquaculture Core Group. As co-author and coordinator of the data flow efforts, I participated in a 3-day workshop for the first AO along with experts from Norway, Estonia and Ireland. I produced data flow diagrams, tables for data documentation as well as guidelines for current and future authors, which will be published in the workshop report and in the AO technical guidelines. • Data flow• Quality assurance• Project coordination• Written and visual communication• Cooperation across institutions and nations
