Every space tells a story, and for the past 28 years, I’ve been designing environments that help organizations and people thrive. Across industries from finance to the arts, I’ve led the transformation of spaces that truly reflect the unique needs and values of the people within them. Currently, as Director of Facilities and Operations for Canada’s National Ballet School (NBS), my key focus is aligning the school’s physical environment with its mission of inclusivity, safety, and excellence. In addition, I am responsible for daily operations, as well as long-term development of the facility as a core member of the executive team. I also enjoy leading the facilities team and mentoring them to achieve their best, while co-chairing both the Health and Safety and EDI committees.Prior to NBS, I held roles at organizations including Sid Lee, Invesco, and Deloitte, where I managed large-scale moves, renovations, and space planning projects. While at Invesco, one of my career highlights was the complex, rapid relocation of staff into a 5,600-square-foot space in Vancouver within just 7 months.I have always been an advocate for DE&I. At Sid Lee, I co-chaired the J.E.D.I (Justice, Equity, Diversity, and Inclusion) Program and launched a bursary for BIPOC students at OCAD University under Dr. Dori Tunstall’s leadership. These initiatives provided essential support to students lacking access to educational resources.I am also passionate about mentorship and support young women in their career growth through the Black Business and Professional Association.Outside of work, you’ll often find me traveling, enjoying a spa day, or catching a show at the theater—Hamilton and Come From Away are among my favorites!Specialties: Facilities management, Space planning, Cost control, Vendor management and Project management.
