About Kate Healy

My first experience with Cyber crime was in 1998 when someone hacked into my University computer and plagiarised my assignment. So as a graduate when offered my first role in cyber security, I immediately said yes. My passion for cyber security has only grown throughout my 25 years and I truly believe that by making organisations and solutions safe, we make Everyone safer. At 29, I found myself sitting on a plane enroute to Singapore with 2 large suitcases full of my belongings. I was starting my first senior role in a new country at one of the world's largest banks. 15 years later and I find myself once again taking a leap as a founder of my first cyber security business. My passion and desire to ensure good security is available to all, has led me to offer support to organisations who would not ordinarily have access to senior security talent. I've been privileged to hold senior and executive roles in several of the worlds Largest Banks, Telstra and Google. I've worked as both a customer and a vendor which has allowed me to develop a deep understanding on how we can help both to be more secure and work better together. Leveraging my passion and experience, I have also embarked on a Non-Executive Director career where I can make a positive impact to the strategy and risk management of organisations.I have been honored to be nominated an inaugural Fellow of the Australian Information Security Association for my expertise, leadership and commitment to the cybersecurity profession and community. I am a Keynote speaker, having been invited to present at RSA Asia, Telstra Vantage and Lendlease Autonomous.

Listed skills include Information Security, Security, Information Security Management, Solution Architecture, and 40 others.
