Self starter, reliable, consistent & team player-few things about me that my colleagues talk about. Leader, orator, people pleaser & resourceful is what my wife would tell you about me. But what you should know about me is am just a person from humble background who wants to take up challenges bigger than himself & outright win them. With my career in sales spanning over 9 years, I had been able to learn & experiment in Media, Hospitality & FMCG industries. Further in FMCG, I had worked in Dairy, Frozen Food (meat), Personal products & hospitality - all of which gave me a wide horizon to role play in all format of sales in different capacities. What really excites me is driving a customer’s No to a Yes & that is not by downplaying any competition but winning over them with the persistence - “sales is all shameless persistence” at the end. In 2017 when I decided that I am done with my comfort zone & that I want to make it or break it now, I started Novolutions with a clear objective that I wanted to make food interesting, sustainable & most importantly clean. Having worked in Food processing both formal & informal, I always wanted to do something innovative in this space. After much wait, launched a Peppy brand ‘Hippie’ in mid 2019 as a pilot with a small online presence & a descent foothold in an upcoming market like Bhubaneswar, Odisha. We were doing too good to be true till Mar’20 & were gearing up to launch evolved markets like Delhi & Bengaluru when we were jostled by Covid19. We used the time to improvise & fine tune ourselves while working on some exciting product. With Hippie being our forerunner brand, we are now pivoting to a very new & exciting category of Alternate meat or Plant Based Meat; thanks to my earlier roles at Frozen meat & dairy companies which gave me much clarity on the subject. I would also thank Netflix for its amazing documentaries namely ‘What the health’ ‘Cowspiracy’&’Seaspiracy’ which acted like a catalyst (Netflix inflicted the spark than the chill). Am not a flag bearer of veganism myself but I have graduated to being a conscious carnivore & from twice everyday through the week I have come to 2 times in a week; everything begins at home be it charity or justice.
