Developed a training program for the 20+ on-air staff to prepare them for the launch of the news and current affairs section. Many of these staff were new graduates with limited experience.• Coordination among different departments, such as reporting, desk, production side of News and Current Affairs. Responsible for the development of content for the daily news and current affairs department. It involved assigning reporters, selecting lead stories for prime time news and scheduling current affairs shows.

My responsibilities included:- Direct assistant to the Editor-in-Chief, responsible for managing a newsroom of 40+ people.- Introduced long daily features in the newspaper (1200+ words) for detailed coverage of human interest news stories.- Coordinated the web version of the newspaper, www.myrepublica.com - Coordinated and assigned duties to the 20+ reporters from political, business, sports, social, city, entertainment, technology and youth bureaus.- Finalizing the content of the newspaper, including the layout, and overseeing the process before it went to press for print.
