I review evidence and discovery in cases involving child abuse or injury in institutional settings (i.e. schools, churches, foster care, youth groups, day care, treatment centers, residential facilities and hospitals), failure to supervise, interpersonal violence and bullying, sexual abuse by teachers, clergy or staff members and child-on-child abuse. Additionally, I research the law in the applicable jurisdiction and assess standards and practices, policies and procedures, and questions of negligence.

I am excited to serve on the new Denver Chapter of ACEDS. ACEDS is the world’s leading organization for e-discovery education, training and certification. As co-treasurer I am responsible for financial records of the chapter and making sure the chapters stays with in its budget. I work with our board members to plan and prepare the annual budget and periodic financial statements.

At the US Attorney's Office I had the privilege of working in the Economic Crimes section to liase between litigation support and prosecutors. I provided litigation support services and managed electronic and hard copy discovery efforts while working with several federal agencies. At the outset of the case I met with federal agents and prosecutors to formulate an effective early case approach to discovery. I built load files, and exported data to the review tool in order to review and analyze documents for work product. I drafted detailed discovery indices, created electronic exhibits, and prepare documents for coding, trial prep, and presentation at trial. One of the highlights of this position was that I frequently attend trial and presented electronic exhibits to the jury and witnesses using Sanction. In addition to eDiscovery work, I trained and assisted attorneys and support staff in document management and the use of CaseMap, Sanction, Concordance, eScanIt, and IPro.Additionally, I assisted in the design of electronic discovery protocol, manuals, and guidance for criminal federal cases.

As a member of the Board of Directors for a fantastic non-profit organization called Peaceful Play, I assisted the organization with it's creation and drafting of Article of Incorporation and Bylaws. I co-founded the organization and assisted in the submission of it's 501(c)(3) documents. I drafted various legal and non-legal documents and provides advice to the board on various matters.

For this project involving discovery production in a construction defect case, I acted as Team Leader for a small group of contract attorneys. I trained and assisted attorneys in the use of Catalyst and formulated quality control searches. I created and managed electronic folders and created batches of documents for attorneys to review. I interacted with the vendor to devise review parameters. I monitored the review progress and drafted weekly status reports and detailed monthly billing reports. I advised the supervising partner regarding privilege analysis, budgetary estimates, reviewer assignments, and issue coding.

I am currently doing electronic document review and QC on an IP case involving telecommunications.

I analyzed claims and production requests involving complex EEO matters. Inventoried a claimant's entire office contents and cataloged each and every document for relevancy to the issues and claims in the case. Reviewed custodian files submitted both in hard copy format and on CDs and prepared the documents to be imaged and Bates stamped for production. Worked on the post-imaging discovery work which involved QCing the files and producing the documents to the claimant's counsel.

I performed document review and quality control related to telecom IP matter. I served as liaison to the hiring agency and submitted review statistics to the supervising attorney. I reviewed the work of other contract attorneys and devised searches to be used to QC the population.

At the EPA, working specifically for Superfund, I researched and analyzed issues surrounding contaminated groundwater plume cleanup; determined enforcement methods; analyzed litigation risk; and evaluated remedies for Superfund sites.I drafted motions, interrogatories, orders and reports pertaining to CAA violations. I determined penalty assessment and cost allocation for a contaminated smelter site. I also had the privilege of working on the Libby Montana asbestos contaminated site.

At Grynberg Petroleum Company, I was involved in the discovery phase of a multi-district litigation “whistle-blower” case wherein the Relator alleged mis-measurement of the volume and BTU content of natural gas, and that royalties were owed to the United States on federal leases. In over 70 complaints, the Relator filed suit on behalf of the federal government against approximately 375 natural gas pipelining companies. For this case and several others I researched a multitude of issues in preparation for trial. I drafted motions and interrogatories, prepared briefing notebooks and maintained privilege logs. I investigated personal, business and property records of potential defendants.

I researched and drafted legal documents in the areas of ublic trust lands, endangered species, water rights, and toxic waste cleanup at landfills. I also proofed legal documents, citations, and footnotes. I was involved in drafting an appellate brief for a case involving supression of free speech.
