Dust size range from very small (1 um) to very big (200 um).This simulation show the filter efficiency of multi-cyclone to different particle sizes.Effect of Cooling Wheel on a hot fan shaft2021-06-01 ~ 2021-07-01With hot gas fan (400 degree C), the heat can transfer from hot gas to the shaft and then to the bearing. To prevent bearing failure, a cooling wheel is installed between casing and bearing.This simulation apply 'Fluid structure interaction' to simulate the heat flow from a hot rotating cooling wheel to the surrounding air to estimate the shaft temperature at bearing location.Broken of Fan Vane Control Damper2020-02-01 ~ 2020-03-01A vane control damper in a large ID Fan is broken. A CFD simulation is carried out to find the force acting on the vane surface.This force is then mapped on the FEM model of the damper.A FEM is then carried out to check the stress level on this damper.Finally, A new design was proposed to reduce the stress on the damper and also to improve strength of the vane damper. This damper operates without any problem after that.Venturi support structure under Seismic and Wind Load2019-03-01 ~ 2019-04-01Support frame of a venturi equipment (15m height) was checked against the load of seismic and wind.A FEM analysis was then carried out to check the safety level of this structure system.A rotating stall problem on centrifugal fan2017-02-01 ~ 2017-04-01High noise and vibration detected on a large centrifugal when damper closed. A transient CFD simulation was then carried out to identify the cause of noise and vibration.CFD identity the rotating stall as root cause of this problem.A new design was proposed to reduce rotating stall effect.After that, the fan operates without any noise or vibration problem.Optimization of a centrifugal fan2018-06-01 ~ 2019-06-01~100 CFD simulations were carried out to optimized the design of a centrifugal fan. The final model has an improvement of ~ 6% in efficiency compared with original model.
