About Sona Pechova

I am a communicative, organised, linguistically-educated and goal-oriented pacifist and Anglophile.Currently, I work as a Customer Service Specialist for IT v kurze where I communicate with current and potential clients - I answer their questions, advise them, help them with any troubles or doubts they may have. I deal with administrative tasks and proofreading activities. I am also responsible for the company´s English language programme as its guarantor. Before that, I worked as an English and Slovak language teacher at the Technical University of Kosice, Slovakia. I led the Language school at its Department of Languages for over 4 years. I ran the FB website of the Department for several years including advertising. I taught professional English and ESP (Business, Aviation, Tourism, etc.) and Slovak as a foreign language to University students. I still teach languages privately and deal with translations, too.I studied Slovak and English at the Matej Bel University and I hold a PhD degree in General Linguistics from the University of Presov. I have been participating in various Erasmus+ projects focusing on employment, entrepreneurship, gender equality, and translations.
