My internship project was "SKILL MATRIX & JOB DESCRIPTION DEVELOPMENT USING STANDARDIZED WORK CHART METHODOLOGY" It included-- Literature review on " Toyota way field book " to understand LEAN MANUFACTURING.- Preparing standardized work chart for 25 different work stations by observing operators.- JDs and plant layouts for all 25 work station Operators.- Framing and Mapping Questionnaires for Skills Test and Conducting Skill Test for all machine operators.- Preparing Skill matrix for all 161 operators and Formulating and evaluating results and doing Skill gap analysis for all 161 operators.- Defining operator's efficiency based on standardized work chart.- Giving man power reduction recommendation in context of operators efficiency and automation.- Analyzing training needs for machine operators based on their skill gaps.
