The 'Teach India' program is a volunteer driven after school program under the aegis of the Times Of India group with the goal to teach 'English for Employability' . The target audience was high school students from the underprivileged background with a functional knowledge of English. The training and curriculum was imparted by British Council and the goal was to teach the students English conversation and soft skills to increase their employability for the retail / service sector. Each 12 week cycle ended with a job fair.

• Taught undergraduate students of journalism as per the syllabus designed by the Makhanlal Chaturvedi University of Journalism, Bhopal. Specific subjects taught by me are ‘Development of Journalism’ and ‘Understanding News’.• Have been a project guide to students of 2nd and 3rd year, which required the production of monthly newsletters according to specific areas of interest.• Taught ‘Media History’ to the postgraduate diploma students of journalism.• Conducted an interactive training exercise called ‘Seminars’ for students of all the post graduate programmes conducted at our institute i.e. PG Diploma in Journalism, Pg Diploma in Advertising & Marketing, and PG Diploma in Corporate Communications and Event Management. • This exercise is designed to inculcate and develop research and presentation skills among the students. Through this programme, the students gain and share knowledge, enhance their creativity as well as build up their confidence and achieve superior communication skills. The topics for the presentations were as per individual course • Conducted Personal Effectiveness workshops covering topics like Effective Communication, Attitude and Habits. Time Management, which aid the students to build positive attitudes to cope with the rigours and pressures of the future profession. Dress, Deportment, Diet and Stress relieving exercises are some of the areas which are also covered as a part of the workshop.• Interactive sessions covering the areas of English pronunciation, newspaper reading and analysis. • Compiled content on various subjects like Mass Communication Theories, Advertising, Event Management, Sports Journalism, Radio Journalism, Crime Reporting for a distance education programme. These textbooks are comprehensive, presented in a clear and logical sequence and contain assessment sheets for academic questions as well as projects. These act as a guide for students as well as teachers of the subject.
