I was responsible for handling 3 major projects of wealth management team.1)Securities Normalization- Enrich existent securities data with mashing it up with various 3rd party data from vendors such as Bloomberg, Morning Star, Vanguard, Merrill Lynch.- This included prediction and identification of CUSIP / ISIN numbers from the dataset that is not normalised with an in-house built algorithm.- Speed up this process using Lucene.- This project helped increase data quality of big wealth management firm in the US to 91% from 68%.Technologies used - Lucene, Java, SQL, Hadoop and Mongo.2) Data quality and validation- Responsibilities included making sure that our wealth data is top notch.- To achieve this me and my team built a validation framework to point out anomalies. These included price quantity validation, Cost basis validation, balance validation.- This framework was also used to categorise various products such as Equities, Funds, ETF's, Money Market's, Options, Derivatives. - Achieved 99% of categorisation rate.Technologies used - Java, XML.3) Statement and Bills download.- Fetch statements and bills of an end-user (PDF's) - Built in-house parser to parse the fetched PDF's to extract banking transactions and data.- The fetched statements were stored in a document store (Mongo) Technologies used : Java, MongoDB, SQL.

1) Web Application Development- Developed stand-alone Web crawlers running at a scale of 41 Million plus users. Crawling data from Financial Institutions, Lifestyle, reward programs.- Good understanding of the Financial Domain. Worked on major financial products like banking, credit card, loans, investment and bill payments.- Worked with the Bug Reduction team which triage bugs, resolve them, notify clients and end-users about bug fixing and finding long-term solutions for repeated bugs.Technologies : Programming : Java, Javascript, HTML ,PL/SQL , Databases(SQL)2) Data Analysis and Report Generation- Lead a team of 10 developers/analysts to extract and analyze production data for Asset Classification, Investment Transaction Categorization, and Wealth Management projects to present statistics to higher management/clients and to improve data quality. Used MySQL and MS Excel to perform multiple operations on financial account data and generate reports.
