Current• Review of incoming engagements across all service lines to identify and analyse potential conflicts of interest for proposed/new engagements and implement subsequent safeguards, if necessary. • Liaising with engagement teams and other member firms to ensure that all conflicts of interest identified have been sufficiently analysed and resolved. • Highlight risks that may potentially impair auditor independence or create self-review threats that may arise from accepting certain incoming engagements,l and determine the appropriate course of action. • Work with the respective Ethics and Independence and Contract teams to ensure that client-facing engagement teams do not enter into engagements that will be detrimental to the firm. • Conduct training on quality and risk policies and procedures and walkthrough of system rollouts. • Prepare internal reports for function heads showcasing a summary of KPMG clients/engagements by function and risk rating.
