Presently working as Revenue Analyst and my day to day work involves MDF & Rebates (one of the process under Revenue Team). This involve calculation and accounting of contra revenue figures (Contra revenue means the amount which gets directly deducted from Sales figure of the company and not shown as any P & L line item). The work is done following SOX rules and US GAAP principals. Every month/quarter end this calculation and accounting is performed and immediately after close completion we have deliverable s to partners, legals, tax, SEC, parent company and many more.Apart from MDF & Rebates (Contra Revenue item), i also handle JV accounting entered between Vmware Incorporation and Softbank Corporation (Japan Based Company). I perform all the accounting and calculation part for revenue and deferral portion for Joint venture during month/quarter end and all the reporting with respect to this is also done within the stipulated time. During the audit of the process active participation is involved for analyzing and delivering the required data/documents/supporting to the auditors.Several analysis which is required by SEC is performed like 10 % analysis of top customers of the company. Other then my regular work of MDF & Rebates and Joint Venture accounting i got exposure towards other revenue processes as well like:1. OEM (Original Equipment Manufacture) which includes booking of royalty income and price list analysis for different products of the company at SKU level.2., RevOps (Revenue Operations) which includes credit review of transactions, error clearing, SQL report running for various report which forms file for many teams like (DRR - Detailed Revenue Report). Basically this profile is related to system back end work where we need to work in system (ORACLE EBS).Additional work involves preparation of process documents, providing forecasting figures to FP & A Team.

Day to day activity involved passing of journal entries for two of the branches for cash as well as credit transactions, Insurance claims/ Amount received from any of the TPA/Patient in Tally. Reconciliation of Cash and Credit account at every month end.Accounting of any new fixed assets bought by company and handling of invoices for the same. Calculation of depreciation on Fixed Assets as per Income Tax Act as well as Companies Act.Every month i use to perform reconciliation between insurance tracker managed by insurance manager and tally (accounted figures).Apart from these work i have also worked for investment accounting like calculation of NAV every month and proving figures to my manager, calculation of profit/losses from purchase and sale of investments.Active involvement in audit work for providing any kind of justification and document/supporting related to my work. Prepared one Fixed Asset calculation Excel base template for the calculation of depreciation every month with limited input of data, helped in streamlining the depreciation calculation method. Insurance tracker was maintained in Excel, helped company in selection of appropriate software and its proper implementation. Migration of all the data from excel to software and then performed a three way reconciliation between excel, insurance software and tally.
