I transferred from a leadership position in ICS Finance and joined the Talent Management and Organizational Effectiveness team as Director, Diversity and Inclusion. In the new role, responsibilities include actively monitoring our progress in implementing Broadridge's D&I strategy and proposing necessary actions to the BR Executive Diversity Council. Creating and implementing a D&I education program for our associates at all levels and providing support to our associate networks in designing and rolling-out their initiatives. In addition, relationships will be developed to work with different stakeholders to obtain external recognition for Broadridge as an inclusive organization, and facilitate building partnerships with relevant D&I organizations in the market. In order to make this transition, I actively sought and developed skills to move into the talent management arena. Over the last two years I led several associate development initiatives in ICS Finance, became certified in the Emotional Intelligence Assessment and rolled it out to many of the finance associates, and been an active member within the Edgewood Women’s Leadership Forum Chapter activities. I’ve also played a role in a number of corporate TM initiatives, such as acting as an Action Learning coach for the Talent Acceleration Program, being a “Leader as Teacher” in several corporate leadership programs, and being a Great Places to Work (GPTW) Champion. In addition, I am currently in the process of completing my Ph.D. in Organizational Leadership from the University of Maryland Eastern Shore.

Responsible for developing the strategic vision of the Financial Operations team and leading a team of highly engaged associates to execute various initiatives related to process reegineering, acquisition integration, increasing automation, new business integration and implementing margin improvements, as well as overseeing the budget for our team. One of a few leaders facilitating the Finance Associate Development Program focused on self-development, specific skill sets, coaching and mentoring of the future leaders of our organization.Administering the Emotional Intelligence 2.0 Assessment to associates within Finance and providing individual debriefs on assessment. Coaching five associates in the Company’s Talent Acceleration Program from an Action Learning perspective.Championing initiatives as a result of Finance’s Great Places to Work survey results.

Led a highly effective financial transformation change strategy within our segment to create a consultative finance organization that positioned finance as a value contributor rather than a cost/compliance center, appropriately aligning finance to better serve stakeholders while retaining, hiring and training talent to drive enhanced business partnering across a global organization.

Currently Responsibilities:Coordinate and review world-wide financial analytics on a monthly and quarterly basis; develop and sustain solid working relationships with finance personnel across the globe; coordinate the corporate financial close to ensure milestones are met to meet internal and external deadlines; coordinate learning initiatives for CPAs in the local office and collaborate with the Education division; analyze non-routine and foreign exchange activity.Previous Responsibilities/Accomplishments:Responsible for indirect revenue reporting; compressed the indirect revenue close process from ten extensive business days to seven standard business days; tailored, automated and enhanced existing processes to promote efficiency and effectiveness; mentored/coached/lead team in meeting tight deadlines and achieving department and companywide goals.

Highlights: Responsible for planning, executing and completing various sized audit engagements for diversified middle market clientele; Focused on continually improving the audit program to improve the quality and efficiency of an audit; Trained/Mentored/Coached associates on audit procedures and problem solving techniques and evaluated their performance; Assisted human resources in reviewing annual employee survey results by holding focus groups at the peer level to determine causes of results in our local office.
