Typical work duties; -Maintain pumps, pipes, and valves and make sure everything is operational.-Communicate and follow instructions from Drillfloor.-Supply with the right amount and type of drilling fluids.-Operate technical and mechanical equipment.-Assist and relieve the Roughnecks and Roustabouts if needed. -Cement unit, test downhole plugs, K&C manifold and BOP.

Since July 2016 it became a weekend and evening job due to my engineering studies. I started out as a Roustabout on the Statfjord oilfield. I also have knowledge from the drill floor. Pipe handling crane operator (g20)-Assist Drillfloor and make sure they have everything they need.-Handle containers, prepare, crate and load cargo.-Load material from supply vessels.-Maintenance work.-Operate different types of smaller cranes.I have the Roustabout certificate for Statoil, which means that I am authorized by Statoil to work on Statoil installations with crane and lifting operations.
