About Soner Boztas

Highly dedicated software architect & aerospace engineer with a proven extensive skill set in the field of software engineering (10+ years of experience). Initiated and managed several software engineering projects, acting as lead software engineer as well. Holistic, interconnected mindset with a strong focus on digital product development, software development lifecycles and software quality in particular.Learn more about my mission, my vision and my core values at https://soner-boztas.comSince the age of 12 I have always had a strong passion for both entrepreneurship and software development. At the age of 15 I developed the popular software deployment application InstallForge and released it to the public for free. Back then it was already able to keep up with some commercial competing products, which is why it gained global recognition among individual software developers and companies within a short period of time. With over 30,000 users worldwide it is now one of the most popular installation programs worldwide; appreciated by several companies.Shortly after finishing school, I founded my own software company based on on the success of InstallForge and successfully ran it for 9 years. However, due to my fascination for aeronautics and astronautics, I also studied mechanical engineering (Bachelor's) and aerospace engineering (Master's) at the same time with consistently excellent grades. During my Master's study, I also refounded a social, entrepreneurial non-profit organization at my university called Enactus Braunschweig. Having built up an international team with 10+ active members and having managed 3 social projects with an entrepreneurial background as the president, it is - thanks to the wonderful volunteers - today one of the most successful organizations at the University of Braunschweig with more than 100+ members (as of 2021).In the midst of the Corona crisis, I took the risk and made the decision to fulfill one of my big dreams and to work on high technology in aviation at the world's largest aerospace company, Airbus.During my spare time, I work on different non-profit software products, such as InstallForge, Visual Update Express and battleWarden.

    Installforge Jan 2007 - Present
InstallForge was initiated back in 2006 with the goal to create a solid, lightweight and easy-to-use installation builder running on the Windows® platform. During the whole development I have always had the design philosophy of a non-script-based installation builder in mind enabling users to create their setup packages with least efforts. Compared to other freely available setup creators this philosophy has always emphasized InstallForge’s power and led to a rapid success among users after its first release in 2007. Today InstallForge can be considered to be one of the most popular setup creators and is being used by more than 30,000 developers worldwide.https://installforge.net/Achievements:🎯 One of the most renowned software distribution applications for Windows in the world🎯 Used by more than 30,000 users and software engineers worldwide🎯 Trusted by several software development companies world-wide🎯 Known for its high-class functionality, robustness and speed🎯 Highly appreciated to be fully non-profit
