As educators do, I love sharing my passion for Mātauranga Māori, especially raranga - weaving, with kaiako, as it provides a platform to use te reo Māori me ōna tīkanga in an autehntic context, and it supports NZ history, technology and science curricula.

Through Field-basedSTEM I provide professional development to kaiako and set up projects in consultation that support mātauranga māori through the media or weaving in primary and secondary schools across Aotearoa New Zealand.

I operate under my company BetSo, which has 2 specialisations:- BetSo Education - BetSo WeavingI work in educational setting as teacher of languages and as lecturer in the tertiary education industry.I also provide weaving workshops and sell my creations made from Harakeke.I give private lessons, support teachers in the classroom by connecting ākonga to matauranga māori through weaving, or i train teachers directly. This allows me to stay involved in both my passions.

This course includes: understandings of adolescent learning, future-focused education, the Aotearoa-New Zealand educational system, Treaty of Waitangi commitments.
