Numerous innovations in the space segment are still needed to revolutionize these space operations. As such, space logistics is a new field of its own and although many concepts can be inherited from current logistics practice, it requires the creation of a new set of competencies. Moreover, as space is a unique and fragile resource, it is key to develop this new ecosystem with a long-term and sustainable vision.Main responsibilities and achievements:- Scouted for EPFL technology with applications in space (Big data, blockchain, AI, robotics, etc.)- Initiated discussion with space companies (ArianeGroup, Airbus, Thales, etc.) and start-ups interested in Sustainable Space Logistics to launch new research collaborations and industrial partnerships.- Explored research funding opportunities (European Commission H2020, Swiss National Science Foundation, ESA tenders and call for ideas, Swiss Space Center call, Innogrant, industry grants, Tech4Impact playgrant, Swiss Data Science Center call, etc.)- Initiated and negotiated research agreements- Led research initiatives in the field of sustainable space logistics (ontology, transport optimization software, technology roadmapping)- Built a strong network with space institutions, industry, and universities- Promoted space research and its application to the public by participating in conferences and events.
