President
Over the course of eight transformative years at Artpark, I held combined roles of the Artistic Lead, CEO, and CFO, steering the institution through a period of evolution. Our journey was marked by a broad diversity in artistic programming, pushing boundaries and introducing a variety of disciplines ranging from immersive theater spectacles to vibrant multi-disciplinary festivals, from breathtaking cirque to adventurous international opera and the avant-garde sounds of new music, we collaborated with a constellation of exceptional artists. In tandem with Vice President Dave Wedekindt and the strengthened partnerships with Live Nation, AEG, Funtime Presents, and Dan Smalls Presents, we orchestrated a sweeping revitalization of ARTPARK's music concert lineup and recalibrated our pricing. Building upon existing family programs led by Tanis Winslow, we embarked on a mission to foster inclusivity and accessibility. Under the guidance of Michele-Elise Burnette and Cynthia Pegado, we launched enduring initiatives focused on Indigenous Arts and inclusivity, notably the transformative healing program Artpark Bridges. In operations, I spearheaded the seamless overhaul of ARTPARK's financial and ticketing systems and maintained a strong, positive relationship with IATSE Local 121.These initiatives led to a greater diversity of audience demographics, particularly in increased participation from the 25–54 age bracket, and greater overall sustainability of the organization with a 579% increase in annual individual giving and a 402% surge in program grants. Between 2015 and 2024, the overall budget grew by 30% with a healthy working capital.Guided by Omar Khan and Jordan Geiger, I spearheaded a visionary Strategic Plan, "POWER: ARTPARK 2030," completed by the internationally renowned visionary architects SO-IL, West8, CharcoalBlue, and Studio Gekh. The first phase of the plan, which was capitalized at $10.8M and is currently in construction, is managed by NYS Parks.
