Executive Communications ManagerT-MobileSeattle, Wa, Us -
Executive And Internal Communications LeadMastercard May 2022 - PresentSeattle, Washington, United StatesIn my current role, I help create narratives for Mastercard's B2B cybersecurity sector. I work closely with executives across business lines, drawing on data and insights to develop compelling thought leadership stories that help us stand out in a competitive marketplace. Collaboration is key, and I'm in constant communication with leaders to carry out comms plans and social media strategies that drive messaging internally and with customers. In 2023, I created the vision and pillars for Mastercard’s #1 cybersecurity event, the RiskX Summit, which was held in Barcelona, Spain. I also helped craft keynotes and talk tracks for the event on how advances in AI are reshaping society as we know it. The team recently won a Mastercard President’s Award for the success of the summit, which earned a 98% post-event satisfaction rating among customers. -

Senior Manager, Internal CommunicationsZillow Oct 2018 - Mar 2019As the comms lead for Zillow’s Sales & Revenue organization, I sought to find impactful stories that would best resonate with employees. A key part of this role was spearheading the Sales and Revenue annual meeting for more than 1,500 employees across 10 offices. This included crafting all executive-level key messaging, prepping speakers and show-running the event behind the scenes. -
Senior WriterZillow Oct 2017 - Oct 2018Greater Seattle AreaI was hired as the storyteller for the Zillow Group Premier Agent community, a key customer base for Zillow. My job was to find and tell stories about these highly valued partners. How did selling real estate change the direction of their lives? What did they struggle with? How did they innovate? Out of relentless digging sprang a series called Agent Stories, which generated more than 250K views, likes and comments on social media. Agents left dozens of heartfelt comments, which hit our goal of building an emotional bridge. In this role, I worked across Marketing, Product and PR to establish cohesive messaging and ghostwrote blog content for executives on product launches that impacted agents and brokers. I also initiated a series of longform data-based stories. One story in particular, about the burgeoning cohort of Millennials moving to the suburbs, received a 66% click-share rate among agents, tracked as the most clicked-on piece of content since the blog launched. -

Director, Corporate CommunicationsMarchex Feb 2013 - Sep 2014Seattle, WaCreated, strategized and pitched impactful, newsworthy stories to press. Wrote a blog post along with an infographic that ranked swearing by Top 5 and Bottom 5 states, which immediately went viral and appeared in more than 100 top-tier publications, TV segments and radio broadcasts. The data even got a second “viral wind” seven months later when a reporter at The Atlantic wrote about it and talked about the findings on NPR. I also seeded relationships with journalists at technology and industry publications and created PR initiatives to drive industry influence via speaking engagements, guest columns and press meet-and-greets.
