If you are reading this, I take it you can give me a few minutes of your attention to allow me to introduce myself. 😊My name is Sónia Rodrigues Dias and I've been a translator and a proofreader for 27 years.In the past, I also was a secretary for a lawyer and later at a wood mill; a door-to-door saleswoman; a middle school English teacher; a court interpreter ocasionally; and a homeschool tutor for over a decade, and I did my best to put my soul into every single job.However, I absolutely love translating, proofreading, and writing content — I love it most of all, and feel this is my work and my mission.I work mostly with legal, marketing, and creative translations.My greatest passion is writing, and I pour my heart into it. I write on a personal and professional level — in fact, not a day goes by that I don't write.I am lucky to work for a company that allows me to do what I love on a daily basis. For us. For you.Our insightful CEO, Cláudia Figueiredo, established the company in 2015, but we had been working together as a "power team" since 2002! Eliane joined us in 2016 as a canny proofreader and specialized in technical translations, and Inês Fernandes came next, as the much needed and resourceful administrative assistant — thus making us a proud and cohesive "power team" of 4! ✨Besides translating, we create our own digital content and communications, as well as our blog articles.Throughout my life, I have always been a keen observer and have developed an ability to “read”, listen and understand people. So, even though I was an introvert for a very long time, I can safely say, at this point in my life, I am a very good communicator because I communicate with empathy.I am also a mother, a wife and the carer of 1 funny cat and 3 sweet dogs.I love drawing and painting, and photographing. As a "consumer", I love art in general, cinema and music. I am an avid reader, and self-learned, always learning, on several subjects. 📚🎨📽️🎸But writing IS my passion, and I hope I'm able to go on writing until I leave this world. ✍️
