As a home care OTR, I help adult clients to develop, regain, or maintain their ability to perform the day to day activities they want and need to do within their home and community. This may include training in the use of adaptive equipment. As a Yoga teacher of 10+ years I often use Yoga and breathing exercises as preparatory activities in order to help clients increase strength, range of motion, awareness and balance. As an LSVT BIG clinician I work with individuals with Parkinson's disease and Parkinsonian symptoms to improve their movement and gait through a specific evidence-based protocol. When working with children in the home, I use play and yoga to help children develop fine and gross motor coordination, improve focus and attention, and establish skills and strategies for emotional regulation and social interaction.
