NGS | NIPT and Molecular Esoterics Production and Development◈Led, supervised and guided 35 technologists from Lab Assistants to Lab Supervisors. ◈ Radically redesigned, optimized and automated existing workflows, and significantly increased efficiency, capacity, turnaround time and throughput. ◈ Devised effective contingency planning to improve TAT and increase production capacity. ◈ Project-planned the emplacement, logistics, end-to-end workflows and implementation forseven NovaSeqs 6000 Sequencers. ◈ Managed every aspect of budgeting, ordering and storage of $1M+/month of Laboratory consumables across three high-capacity sites. ◈ As a process improvement SME, closely collaborated with cross-functional teams, including Bioinformatics, in the set-up and collection of production data. ◈ Developed expertise in Confluence and Smartsheet, to develop project plans, scopes of work and workstream roadmaps. ◈ In consultation with direct reports, comprehensively redesigned team structures and schedules, and improved production turnaround time by 30%.◈ Validated and implemented a newly designated multi-phase Expanded Carrier Screening v.2.0 502-GenePanel launch while maintaining established timelines for existing projects. ◈ Simultaneously led key NGS initiatives for two new product line launches focused on Germline and Somatic testing.

Project Management and System IntegrationEngaged in Molecular technology within the GenPath (oncology and women’s health) Division.◈ Initially engaged as a Senior Molecular Technologist and was quickly promoted to Clinical MolecularTechnologist III, and finally to Project Lead. ◈ Conducted every aspect of complex assay preparation, and quickly and effectively conducted the subsequent analyses. ◈ Assigned to lead a critical workflow transition from a manual process to implementing a fully automated NGS platform. ◈ This dramatically improved market positioning as well as provided an overall increase in capacity and accuracy. ◈ Created LIMS integration templates; comprehensively designed every aspect of the project goals, delivered detailed training and documentation, and provided guidance for the Project Management Team. ◈ Selected to serve as a visiting expert at a sister facility to develop specialized knowledge in a key assay. ◈ Upon returning, deployed those findings to bring that assay successfully into its clinical phase. ◈ Routinely called upon to train staff at various levels to ensure adherence to protocols and company standards. ◈ Thoroughly defined scopes in line with project owner specifications, managed resources, and oversaw schedules in close collaboration with internal stakeholders. ◈ Having demonstrated superior expertise and efficiency in the daily work, was invited by the Director to spearhead special projects.
